Luis Machuca is a lawyer who graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and currently heads the Firm’s Labor Law Practice.
He holds a Postgraduate Degree in Labor and Social Security Law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, where he has also completed Master’s-level studies in Labor and Social Security Law.
Dr. Machuca has extensive experience advising and representing both public and private entities, as well as leading legal advisory teams and external consulting practices. He has held senior positions, including Labor and Civil Legal Manager at the Superintendencia Nacional de Administración Tributaria (SUNAT), Parliamentary Advisor to the Congreso de la República, and Legal Advisor to institutions such as the Superintendencia Nacional de Salud (SUSALUD), the Colegio Médico del Perú, and the Seguro Social de Salud (ESSALUD).
Throughout his career, Mr. Machuca has advised a broad portfolio of institutional clients, including the Medical Association of Peru, the Colegio de Abogados de Lima, the Congress of the Republic, the Oficina Nacional de Procesos Electorales (ONPE), ESSALUD, various municipalities, and well-regarded non-governmental organizations.
His practice is distinguished by a highly technical and strategic approach, focused on the prevention of labor contingencies and disputes.
