Renzo Scavia is the Founding Partner and Managing Partner of Scavia & Scavia.
He graduated summa cum laude from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and has more than 30 years of experience advising companies and institutions on intellectual property and business law matters, providing strategic and highly specialized legal counsel in legal, transactional, and regulatory environments.
Renzo’s practice focuses on intellectual property and business law, including trademarks, patents, copyright, licensing and technology transfer, unfair competition, data protection, consumer protection, advertising regulation, and complex litigation.
He is an international arbitrator for the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Guayaquil Chamber of Commerce, and a certified arbitrator of the Inter American Association of Intellectual Property (ASIPI).
Renzo currently serves as President of Licensing Executives Society (LES), Andean Community and Vice-Chair of the Americas Committee of Licensing Executives Society International (LESI), actively promoting best practices in intellectual property, licensing, and technology transfer across Latin America.
He has been appointed as a member of the Committee of Experts of the Peruvian Association of Industrial Property and Copyright (APPI), in civil, administrative, and corporate law, and also serves as Treasurer of the Peruvian Group of the Association Internationale pour la Protection de la Propriété Intellectuelle (AIPPI), roles that reflect the high level of trust and professional recognition he holds within the intellectual property community.
He regularly participates as a speaker and panelist in national and international conferences and academic forums related to intellectual property, innovation, and technology transfer.
